Paper Submssion and Review

Submission

Papers for consideration the conference may be submitted to the General Track, or to an Invited Session on a specific topic if requested by a Session Chair, or if the subject of the paper cloasely matched the topic of the session.

Authors should in most cases submit to the General Track unless the submission of their paper has been requested by an Invited Session Chair.

Full papers for the conference must be submitted as PDF documents through the PROSE online submission and review system accessed from the main menu.

Full papers must be formatted according to the Springer instructions to be found ..here.. Instructions are provided for preparing the document using MS Word and LaTeX - you may use either method.

Each accepted paper will be published as a book chapter, hence authors should follow the Springer instructions as if preparing a single chapter for book.

Ignore the section in the Springer instructions entitled "Manuscript Submission to Springer", as authors will submit individual chapters and these will be assembled into a composite manuscript which the conference organisers will submit to Springer.

The guide length for papers is 10 pages in Springer format. Papers longer than 10 pages may be subject to an additional charge.

The paper will be sent to two referees for review. After review the editable source files for the paper will be requested for publication (the publication files).

Publication Files

When the PDF copy of the paper has been accepted you will receive an email asking for the publication files. At this point the following files are required:-
-- A full set of word-processor files for the camera-ready paper, in MS Word or LaTeX, including all image files necessary to fully reproduce it
-- A PDF copy of the full paper, made from these source files, with all comments and page numbering removed
-- An MS Word copy of the abstract to appear in the conference programme / digest, and
-- A completed copyright form.

Note that in addition to the full paper, an abstract of up to a page, in the form of an MS Word document, summarising the content, main results and conclusions of the paper, must be provided for inclusion in the conference programme document.

The abstract must be formatted according to the instructions contained in the document that can be downloaded .. here ..

The proceedings will be published after the conference and sent to delegates by post. The conference programme document, containing the abstracts of all the papers, will be ditributed to delegates at the conference.

Presentation

The papers will be scheduled for presentation either orally or by poster, depending on their attributes, author preferences and referee recommendations. Please note that poster presentations are regarded as being of equal importance and status to oral presentations.

Oral presentations will be 20 minutes in length, including 5 minutes for discussion. Oral presentations should be accompanied by powerpoint slides.

Registration

All oral and poster papers must be presented by one of the authors who must register for the conference and pay the fee. By submitting a paper you undertake that you will attend the conference and present the paper if it is accepted.
